ROCCAT Kone XTD USB Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

5 out of 5 eggs 12/11/2013

This review is from: ROCCAT Kone XTD USB Wired Laser Gaming Mouse

Pros: -Lighting customization options
-Responsive feel
-good clicks, very direct
-easy shift
-macro-able easy shift layers
-profile usage
-braided cord
-When the guy says 6200 DPI!!!!!! Hilarious

Cons: -Mushy Mouse Wheel
-macro software is very confusing, and without instructions. It's do-able, but you must trial and error your way to success.

Other Thoughts: You can disable the guy who says stuff in the software under Advanced Control.

I love Roccat products. They don't feel flimsy or weak. They are direct and serious. Maybe a bit flashy, but that's what the expensive stuff is for!

ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Per-Key Illumination - Brown Cherry MX Key Switch (ROC-12-851-BN)
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: -Strong feel, very durable
-Individually lit keys are awesome and useful
-Different keys lighting sets for when hitting Shift, or Control, or other keys, as well as the function key
-first mechanical brown switch keyboard I've had, and it feels great
-Huge rope for a cord which I love
-Response time
-n key rollover
-Good profile settings
-Great outer finish, smudge proof, which I don't really think it truly is, but it does stay cleaner than my older Microsoft Sidewinder x4
-Brown switches are quiet enough, while also having a good bump feel.

Cons: -The macro software is confusing, very advanced. I can't make heads or tails of any of it. I'm sure it's actually great, and very intuitive, but it would be nice to have in depth instructions.
-Only in blue lighting
-Takes two USB ports, not bad for me, but I can see others having an issue with this.
-Price is a little steep, just a little

Other Thoughts: Was this keyboard worth 170 bucks? well, since now I see it on sale, it isn't, lol.
I'm not sure it's worth that price, but the build quality is awesome, you definitely feel like your typing on a metal vault, so to speak.
The lighting is cool and intuitive, and if you bough a Roccat mouse, then the TALK feature is neat, and just kinda completes a Roccat setup.

I recommend Roccat products to anyone that wants serious gaming equipment. I haven't had a problem at all with this keyboard. As said the software is not user friendly with the macros, but even without making a million macros, it's a great keyboard.

AMD FX-6200 Zambezi 6-Core 3.8GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD6200FRGUBOX Desktop Processor

  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Was working quickly, able to boot windows very quick, high clocks, easy to clock up, runs fairly cool.

Cons: Within about 2 months, cores 5 and 6 failed in Prime95, and have had graphics driver crashes ever since. My old 925 phenom II had no problems with the same 6950 2gb.
Temp readings are left to speculation, they work OK in AI Suite, but jump all over the place in AMDOD.
I had a 975 Phenom II @3.9 that beats this thing hands down running at 4.4.
Turbo Core enabled is a total joke.
Voltage tuning is insane, auto tunes can put the vcore to 1.5+!!! and setting the voltage manually doesn't guarantee what you set...

Other Thoughts: Not very happy with this CPU, it didn't last for me, even with a Zalmann 8900 Extreme, keeping it's temps below 52c in games.
Maybe this thing works better with higher ram speeds, as I'm stuck with 1333 atm. Still, I'm not happy about failed cores and driver crashes all the time....
I'm going for a 980 x4 to replace it, seeing as it outpaces this thing even at stock clocks.

I would switch to Intel if I had the money, I'm honestly very sick of AMD products.
