Pros: Good size, decent price. Bought to store movies, music, photos and documents, and worked well for the first year.

Cons: Short life. Ordered this drive on July 8th 2013. July 26th, 2014 the drive was unresponsive. Looking through event logs, I see that it started having significant problems on June 30th, which I failed to catch in time. 1 year of life seems to short to waste that much money on.

Pros: Capacity

Cons: Extremely poor service from Centon, drive has been problematic from the beginning. Worked for about 5 minutes out of the box, then stopped. Managed to get it working again, and it lasted a couple more months, but I put too much faith in it, and now have lost about 50GB of data. It is once again not being recognized by any computer I plug it into, and I have a lot to try (I've tried an even 12 as of right now, with three different OS)

Other Thoughts: Centon support is about the worst I have ever encountered. About 2 weeks worth of emails to every single email address I could find with no response. Almost 6 weeks later, finally got a message that they would be willing to RMA it. At that point, I don't trust them in any fashion. Even an automated "we are busy" email at some point would have helped their image. Too late now. I will never buy a Centon device again.
