APEVIA X-PLORER2 Series X-PLOR2-NW-BK/450 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450W Power Supply

1 out of 5 eggs Power supply information is a lie 01/07/2013

This review is from: APEVIA X-PLORER2 Series X-PLOR2-NW-BK/450 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450W Power Supply

Pros: Pretty much everything but the power supply. The case looks nice, everything fits, good fans, etc.

Cons: There's only one real flaw, but it's an absolutely huge one: the power supply is not, in fact, 450 watts. It is 230 watts; the 450W is the power supply model number.

Other Thoughts: The company that made the deceptively-named power supply, Turbolink, is owned by Apevia. I gave them my money, and I'll admit the rest of the case is quite nice, but making a model number suggesting higher wattage than there is, by masquerading as a wattage level, is an absolutely scummy business tactic, and you would be better served buying from a more honest company.
