Pros: When paired with a lesser processor this motherboard seems to be stable and works correctly.
Cons: When using the FX8350 and revision 1.1 of this board, your CPU will end up being overvolted like crazy and setting the LLC only helps so much when trying to prevent the massive Vdroop you will experience.
Additionally, revisions 1.0 - 3.0 do not properly cool the VRM. Since the VRM will overheat under stress, you will fail most stress tests like Prime95 or OCCT unless you're using a CPU with much less power draw than the FX 8350. While the CPU will work under normal conditions; you will not be stable and you cannot run anything really intensive without the motherboard shutting the system down because the VRM overheats.
Hopefully Newegg or Gigabyte will let me RMA this junk for a revision 4.0 that actually has proper support for my CPU.
If you purchase this board and get any revision below 4.0 then just sent it back or you will have massive headaches when trying to do intensive tasks with your computer.
I don't feel like this item is being sold as advertised since support for more powerful processors (which is claimed to be supported) is highly dependent on the revision you get.
Pros: Lots of space, sufficient cable management for most builds, high air flow. Overall, I was pleased with the product while it functioned correctly.
Cons: After almost two years ownership the power button started getting stuck every single time I tried to turn the machine on/off. This resulted in the machine rebooting itself over and over until I can force the button lose.
I contacted NZXT, since the product is still under warranty for another 25 days, and they refused to replace the case. They said they would send me a new top and power assembly to do the repair myself. I repeatedly told them I did NOT want to do this repair and wanted a replacement case that functioned correctly. After a while of very rude customer support, I was told they would send me the parts and that is all of the help I would be getting.
Other Thoughts: Be cautious when purchasing NZXT products. They will find shady loopholes around having to replace a case and only want to send replacement parts and force you to do the repair yourself. I mean, what is the point of having a warranty if I have to do all of the repairs myself?
I am not the only person with this issue. After a little research this seems to be a common problem. NZXT will admit to it being a common problem in their support chat, but they will refuse to replace the case.
I asked to at least get instructions for replacing the power assembly and their technical support was unable to provide me with any. I just got the response: "You will have everything you need for the repair". While I am technically inclined, I have honestly never had to replace a faulty power assembly in a case before. Especially one under warranty.
If a warranty or long-term stability of a product is not important to you then this case will be nice until it breaks. However, after it breaks, don't expect any support from NZXT other than a few replacement parts and a proverbial "good luck" when it comes to fixing the issue.
Pros: - Affordable
- Whisper quiet
- Moves a lot of air
I would purchase this product again if I was looking for affordable quality fans. Don't overlook this great value if you want to really stretch your budget.
Cons: Cables are not sleeved. While this is not a big deal, it does hurt the overall aesthetics of your build.
Other Thoughts: It would be nice if Cooler Master would offer this product with sleeved cables.READ FULL REVIEW
