This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
Pros: The Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO includes all the mounting brackets necessary for compatibility with both AMD and Intel based motherboards. It's only meant for moderately overclocked CPUs and works well if properly installed.
It comes with a pretty fan and allows installing a second one. So, it's a good,
although not exceptional, once the fan was attached, the base of the enclosure did slightly sit above the left/right memory slotcooler which might be an issue in some cases. It was in my case.
Cons: It was a bit pain for me trying to install based on my board layout.
Other Thoughts: While the heatsink does included support for all the current socket types, it is noticeably
missing support for the upcoming LGA-2011 interface. The unit should eventually include the necessary bracket later, but as of this review it was the only socket not officially supportedby the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.The Hyper 212 EVO includes Cooler Master's standard universal back-plate, but the actual
mounting system has slightly changed. Instead of spring-loaded screws that are attached to thebase of the heatsink, Cooler Master has included mounting bolts that are secured to the back-plate via four thumbscrews.
