Pros: Sound quality is not bad, not bad at all for being earbuds. The earbuds stayed in their memory shape.
Cons: After about 3 months of use, the soft earbud padding came off. I reattached the soft earbud padding numerous times and each time, they would fall off again.
4 months later, the wire frayed in 2 different places: once near the flexible cord part (in gray) and again at the plain white cord part. :/
Other Thoughts: I often slept with my headphones on and was looking for something durable.
Unfortunately, they only worked for the first couple months of use.
Pros: Relatively good speed and specs for the price.
I loaded ubuntu 12.04 on it with no hardware incompatibilities. Has 3 usb ports.
Cons: The trackpad isn't designed very well and should have been moved slightly to the right. While typing, the lower part of my left thumb will inadvertantly move the mouse cursor.
The instructions could have included a small piece on how I could boot to BIOS (figured it out by going on acer's website).
Its hard drive is only 5400 RPM (would have liked to see 7200), but all other laptops in this price range were only 5400.
Battery life hasn't been 4 hours for me. I've only drained the battery twice so far but both times (while using wireless internet and coding) had only taken it to 2.5-3 hours.
Other Thoughts: Although there's a few complaints, I'm relatively satisfied overall and would still buy it knowing what I know now.READ FULL REVIEW
