Crucial 16GB (2 x 8G) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model CT2KIT102464BF160B

Pros: Solid price for a name brand product and it just worked. Fantastically quick shipping

Cons: Wasn't free?

Other Thoughts: I have a Thinkpad x220 and while it was only certified to 8GB total there were forums indicating it should work. I can say honestly it works like a charm with no issues and my 2yo laptop now has a new lease on life.

Patriot LX Series 32GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model PSF32GSDHC10
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Good price
Great Performance

Cons: Not as fast as an SSD ...but why would it be?

Other Thoughts: Used this for install media/back for a Trimslice (arm powered small pc), extremely fast for an SD card and the cost/capacity is at a sweet spot.

This review is from: TRENDnet TL2-G244 Managed Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet Switch

Pros: Value - Great feature set for the money, need a switch with a CLI that could do LACP and provide some "higher end" features in terms of configuration/mgmt and GBIC capability for uplinks

Cons: Web based management - works great if your a pure IE user but Firefox10.x and Chrome 22.x had some issues with usability. Wasn't a huge issue as we planned on using the CLI environment anyway but if you plan to live and die by the WebUI you might be disappointed

Other Thoughts: Using the switch to do ISCI/NFS traffic in a demo lab environment, 100% Linux environment which had no issues with either the LACP or the jumbo frames configuration with this switch
