This review is from: OTG Y Cable USB Hub Micro USB Male to 2 USB Female with Micro USB Charging Cable for Power Hard Drive HDD Adapter for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910 Galaxy S5 SM-G900 Note 3 2 S4 S3 S2 LG Sony HTC OEM
Pros: Has a micro usb power in port for the usb devices allowing phones to utilize power hungry devices like hard drives and bright led backlit keyboards and mice. Since it has two usb ports It doesn't usuallyt require an additional hub for multiple devices.
Cons: poor construction quality.
Other Thoughts: The first time I tried to plug in a micro usb cable for power the socket came loose inside the plastic casing and got pushed deep inside. I popped open the casing and found out the ground(black) wire was also broken from its contact. I decided to resolder the wire and use craft glue to re-secure the socket and now it works perfectly. That troublesome socket is the only part that feels cheaply constructed and isn't even necessary for basic use.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: IOGEAR GBU521 USB Bluetooth 4.0 Micro Adapter
Pros: Dimly illuminated blue. has acceptable range. does everything that is needed of it. works with linux Mint. plays well with many different devices.
Cons: File transfer is quite slow(sub 100 kilobytes per second) as in it would be faster to send files to a cloud service and back to the target device.
Other Thoughts: Its pretty much a standard bluetooth adapter that uses the microsoft bluetooth stack which i found out doesn't work with newer Wii remotes. This adapter would make subpar choice for someone trying to use wii remotes with windows unless the toshiba bluetooth stack is usedREAD FULL REVIEW
