This review is from: Noctua A-Series NF-A6x25 60mm Blades with AAO Frame, SSO2 Bearing Premium Fan
Pros: Peerless build quality
Durable & Reliable
Includes nearly any accessory you might need
Cons: Cost - Expensive; but you pay a heavy premium for what may be the finest fans available
Noise - Don't get me wrong. These are among the quietest fans I've ever used. There are quieter ones, but finding one that is quieter & built this well is exceedingly difficult. I started using Noctua fans roughly 3-4 years ago. At that time I was living in Korea, and noticed that humidity can have quite an impact on noise. After a nice wet summer, all of my Noctua fans started to make a lot more noise (kind of a soft, low grumbling sound) than when new (still fairly quiet, but it was a large difference). Now I am in an arid part of the US, and haven't seen the same issues.
Other Thoughts: If these were quite a bit cheaper, I would replace every fan in every system I own with Noctua fans.
If you live in a dry area, keep the dust from building up, and you should have a very quiet and reliable fan.
Pros: Fantastic key-feel. Build quality seems to be very nice. If this keyboard lasts, it is most definitely worth the price!
Cons: Wouldn't mind it being quieter or having a shorter key-travel, but that isn't really a con as it's perfectly fine the way it is.
Other Thoughts: I've used pretty much every mechanical keyboard out there: Buckling Spring, ALPS, Topre, and every Cherry switch aside from Green, Grey, and Clear. Of the Cherry switches, this is by far my favourite. I love a quick switch with a tactile feel. Here's my brief run-down:
Cherry MX Red: Lightning fast, but lack the 'clicky' feel
Cherry MX Brown: Clicky feel is way too light - almost non-existent as far as I am concerned
Cherry MX Black: Firm, but lacking the clicky feel I like
Cherry MX Blue: Nice and snappy, with quick response
ALPS: All around great, but not quite as snappy feel
Buckling Spring: Great feel, but noisy & heavy key-stroke
Topre: Really nice, but absurdly priced
This review is from: SILVERSTONE FM121 120mm Case Cooling Fan
Pros: It works reliably and pushes a fair amount of air.
Cons: Much louder than what I expect from fans - especially from a 120mm fan at lower RPMs.
Other Thoughts: If you plan on using it above it's lowest settings, you will hear it loud and clear.READ FULL REVIEW
