This review is from: TP-LINK TC-7610-E DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem (Easy-open package)
Pros: Priced well, Compatible with RCN. Appears to be faster than the company issued ARRIS
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: I can't figure out the difference between the TC-7610 and TC-7610-E. I guess it should be the brown box it came in.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Has all the features I wanted. I see light in the end of the tunnel once bios is updated. UPDATE BIOS (running F5 now)! Or it will be nothing but headache.
Cons: Weirdness in setup. Once I put everything together and tried to make it post the board has issued a series of long beeps (memory problem) and nothing. I had 2X8 Gb Ripjaws. 1 module - system boots. 2 modules in gray slots - nada (beeps). 2 modules in black slots - nada (beeps). Finally, modules in 2 neighboring slots - success! Against the manual, but it works. Looks like somebody might have mislabeled something.
Another note - location of CPU power and Sys Fan 1 is problematic to reach if you've installed a decent cooler already. And back case shield is flimsy and pathetic to say least.
Other Thoughts: Plays really nice with Sammy 950 Pro. Windows 10 works great.
At certain moment I start having audio issues as mentioned by others. Not too bad but annoying. It seems that workaround is simple: My case (Coolmaster N400) has 2 sets of front audio connectors: One HD Audio, another (chained to the first one) AC97. Switching the HD connector for AC97 got rid of the audio disconnect issue.
Still trying to figure out WOL options.
This review is from: WD 2TB My Cloud Personal Network Attached Storage - NAS - WDBCTL0020HWT-NESN
Pros: NAS. Reasonably fast on the intranet. Use it no problem for the in house streaming. Goes to sleep and wakes up as should. Low power.
Cons: After firmware, software or wd2go(?) update can't use it from outside. Can't be seen on wd2go (device not found) or android.
Quite a disappointment, as the only reason I got it is to access my files remotely. For what it is right now, i could've attacha USB drive to my router.
Other Thoughts: I expect it to have tighter integration with WD TV Live as well. It suppose to integrate, but I see no difference compared to other network drives/devices I have throughout the house. and instructions to say least nonexistent.
As for outside accessibility issue, when google, I only see the complains and no real troubleshooting guides.
It is especially upsetting since it worked no problem at the beginning!
