This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 400R Graphite grey and black ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case
Pros: I really like this case, i have used CM Centurian 5 in two other builds and its a fine case with small footprint. Wanted something that would be a little nicer for upgrade path. Didnt have space for larger cases. This one fit the bill perfectly with about 1/2 inch on the extended part on top. it does taper in the back so there is room for the 2 140 fan exhaust.
Cons: None noted
Other Thoughts: Dont hold the PC fully loaded with "stuff" by the handle. I dont think it would be wise. Then again im not an engineer. Im going to migrate my last buid to this case.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: 1) Fast, went from Q6600. Opens LIghtroom about as quick as a human would need =)
2) Installed with H60 Corsair cooler obtaining average temps of about 31C with coretemp monitoring. This puts is about 10F above ambiant. Spikes to about 45 when running heavy handed editing in lightroom.
3) THis is the top of the scale for me in regards to diminishing returns. I have it overclocked to 3.6 with Asus Z68 board.
Cons: Lets face it, $300 is a lot of bones but the performance is worth it.
Other Thoughts: New system =
Z68 Asus board
H1050 Corsair power supply
16 Gb of corsair 1600
Corsair 400 Case
Kingston Hyperx 120GB SSD and 2TB WD black (2TB drive migrated from old system) Can you believe these prices atm
