MASSCOOL FD12025B1H3/4 120mm High Speed Case Fan
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs 9 years, still going strong 08/22/2014

This review is from: MASSCOOL FD12025B1H3/4 120mm High Speed Case Fan

Pros: - Ball Bearing
- Pre-sleeved
- Extremely long lasting
- Quiet!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Don't have this particular fan, but the model previous to it (N82E16835150052). Bought two of them 9 years ago now from NewEgg with near 24/7 operation in a home server. Definitely got my money's worth!

Seagate Momentus XT ST95005620AS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s with NCQ 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Faster than standard HDD speed with cheaper than SSD capacity

Cons: Bought a week before they went on a better sale :(

Other Thoughts: I originally bought 4 of these for a RAID 0 setup for my main computer. I was so impressed with the performance that I bought another for my PS3. The front end loads faster and browsing through Netflix is noticeably faster as well.

SABRENT CRW-UINB 68-in-1 USB 2.0 Internal Card Reader w/ USB 2.0 Port supports SDHC/VISTA
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

3 out of 5 eggs Halfway Decent, but Definitely 3 Eggs 02/09/2012

This review is from: SABRENT CRW-UINB 68-in-1 USB 2.0 Internal Card Reader w/ USB 2.0 Port supports SDHC/VISTA

Pros: - Was an upgrade from my now decade old 4 card memory reader.
- Plug and pray, erm, play!
- Solid and simple build
- Power light on card reader is on as long as there is main power
- Compatible with a very wide range (most) of media types

Cons: - Cornfirmed will not read SmartMedia
- Can only read 1 card at a time (ex. Can't read/see a SD and a MicroSD card at the same time)
- Power light on card reader is on as long as there is main power
- Slots are tricky to get small cards into (SD, MicroSD)
- (Could be good or bad) No documentation, software, or support. It either works or it doesn't; generic drivers.

Other Thoughts: The card reader is... "OK." Compared to others that are out there, it was the right price (especially free since it was an X-mas present), and didn't have another 50 USB ports to fill up with dust. I already have 12 external USB ports, didn't need more!

The power light is blue, R/W light is white which is pretty cool. The power light is BRIGHT, the previous reviews aren't an exaggeration. Think LED keychain light. The other "feature" is that the power light is on at all times as long as the system has power; even if the machine is powered "off" but you still have the main power on (plugged in and/or with the PSU switch on) then the power light of the card reader will be on.

The slots on the card reader are tricky. More than once I've almost pushed a MicroSD card in between the card slot and the faceplate, and into the body of the reader! Just be sure you line up the card and slowly insert until you see the white light turn on.

Bottom line: It's an OK reader.
