Pros: the box seems nice, I haven't opened it.
Cons: Isn't a BluRay drive, even though it came up on the Newegg product filter as one. Other reviews even talk about BluRay; however, this drive is not a BluRay. Returning this unopened.
Other Thoughts: Poor filtering is a waste of time and money. I'll have to pay to ship it back, evaporating any money I might have saved.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Inexpensive dual-core, expandable to 32GB microSD, decent screen, size, mass. Does what it should. Is stable.
Cons: Description states that the OS can be upgraded, but that is only a rumor. This phone seems to be a non-US market phone, as there is no record of it in the Samsung US site (it shows up in UK and UAE). If you are fine with Android 2.3.6 (as I am) then you won't be disappointed.
Other Thoughts: I am not a heavy app user. I have no data plan. I only use WiFi. I got this to replace my MP3 player, for TouchOSC, a video/still camera, Angry Birds. This is plenty sufficient hardware for me for a price that it reasonable (two-fifty). If the upgrades are for real, it may be an even better bargain. Overall, I'm very happy with this.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It's inexpensive, it's light, the battery last quite a while though nowhere near 11 hours if you're doing anything. It largely does what is claimed. We bought it as a travel computer for our first European trip with our 2yo girl. Checking email and reservations for us, compressed movies and music for the little one. Wireless was solid always.
Cons: It is just slightly underpowered to keep me really happy, even with the overclocking feature. The screen resolution is too small for some applications to even run on. I didn't care that it was low res until I couldn't run Handbrake to compress the HD video I was taking on my trip, which this thing totally couldn't handle.
Other Thoughts: The W7 starter is weak but it doesn't bother me nearly as much as it seems to bother others. The feeble ASUS software at least lets you change the desktop background but isn't good for much else. Having spent the $40 to get to 2GB RAM, I would have been happier spending another $100 or so to get a low-end laptop instead of a netbook, and may still sell this thing off to do so. At the end of the day it is what it is, it does what it does and isn't anything special but it's just a bit less than what I'd have liked and could have bought for just a little more...READ FULL REVIEW
