Great battery life
Other Thoughts: It does have the 4810 processor! This thing plays everything with smooth frame rate and is the best value of the Dominator GT70 line.
Other reviews for Dominators are super positive regarding keyboard, sound, etc. In my opinion it's all so-so. My Dominator is replacing a Toshiba Qosmio that's nearly 3 years old. The Toshiba was about this price when new and includes harman kardon sound (amazing!), gorgeous screen, perfectly laid out and feel keyboard and bluray burner. It was good graphics of the day, GTX 560.
The dynaudio speakers are sad. No sub = tiny sound with no low and mid range. Wear headphones!
Touchpad feels great.
Steelseries keyboard is ok, don't know what the hype is about, the Qosmio keyboard is much better. I'm always hitting the spacebar in games instead of left alt. Its just laid out differently than other PC keyboards whereas the Qosmio is more standard like a desktop keyboard.
Screen looks very good but something is off. Qosmio has what I'd consider accurate and vivid colors. Maybe this one is a little washed out?
Battery life in power saver or balanced mode is astonishing! 5 hours is superb. Love it!
Cooling fan is perfectly tolerable sound given the duty it performs. Not exactly quiet but crank it up to turbo cooling and hear how loud it can get! It does a great job keeping the machine running smooth. Keyboard never feels hot.
If you want a great performer this is it for sure but the other features are lacking. I miss the quality of the Qosmio but as soon as I fire up a game I forget all about that and just enjoy the silky game play.
This review is from: ONKYO HT-S5100 Black 7.1 Channel Home Theater System
Pros: Great features at this price. Yes it's only HDMI pass-through; not a con in my opinion. Specs are decent. Frequency response and sensitivity are so-so. Surround sound level is setup automatically with the Audyssey. Very nice!
Cons: Remote doesn't work with an older Samsung TV/VCR combo I had laying around and hooked to this system. Sub is a little to boomy; but if you turn down the gain too much of the low frequency is lost. Front channel speakers don't deliver very low.
Other Thoughts: I bought this for a garage/shop. This sounds phenomenal out there. I was pleasantly impressed because I wasn't expecting it to be that good. This might be the best >$500 system out there. No it's not as good as what's in my living room, but it didn't cost nearly as much either.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SiliconDust - HDHomeRun Network-based Dual Digital - HDTV Tuner Ethernet Interface
Pros: Does what it says! Video quality is excellent. I added this to my network and can now get QAM in Vista Media Center. Yay! My laptop also plays fine over wifi (need about 18 Mbps bandwidth to do it). And I can watch HDTV on my XP box too.
Cons: I wish one machine couldn't hijack the signal going to another machine. Not so much a flaw with the device though...READ FULL REVIEW
