This review is from: IOGEAR Wireless 5x2 HD Matrix GWHDMS52
Pros: Excellent HDMI Room-To-Room Service - Before purchase, I wondered if passing Blu-ray 1920x1080p via hdmi through the box then to the surround unit was going to effect picture quality and/or sound distortion.... NOPE... the picture and sound was excellent!
Cons: Theres NONE to tell... other than Newegg was a bit higher in $$ than other places, but I've always had good luck with 99.99% of my purchase from Newegg... so $50 dollars was not going to stop me... ;-)
Other Thoughts: I was looking for something to share my Dish TV / DVD / Blu-ray & 3D Blu-ray Players via HDMI cables from the living room to the kitchen, that would also be compatible with our 6.1 sound surround unit. All 4 of our players connected via this IoGear 5x2 Matrix "GWHDMS52" then to our 82" TV was very easy to install and withOUT NO picture quality loss NOR sound distortion, everything ran perfect as it was before installation. Plus it transfers the 1920x1080p to the 39" TV in the kitchen, perfectly!
I heard, at the beginning of this year (2013) that IoGear was going to release this GWHDMS52, so I put off buying anything else, I own other IoGear computer type hardware, which all has worked flawless, so I figured this would too... the wait was worth it!!! IoGear has a 2 HDMI unit similar to this one, but we needed at least 4. Thanks to IoGear for making this unit possible... I would purchase it again without hesitation!
This review is from: Verbatim 25GB 6X BD-R 20 Packs Spindle LTH Type Disc Model 97344
Pros: Great Price From Newegg... As Always!!!
Cons: No Cons Really!
Other Thoughts: I guess I should have done my home work first! I purchased 6 of these 20 packs Verbatim BD-R LTH 6x because I have 3 BD-R/RE burners by LG - model # GGW-H20L which are 6x burners (thinking they would burn at 6x.. NOT!). All drives had firmware YL05 - tried burning these latest Verbatim BD-R LTH 6x disks in all 3 drive using ImgBurn v18.104.22.168, neither drive would recognize these disks nor burn anything to them. However, I found there is a newer LG firmware available YL07, release in May of 2011 / after installing the new firmware updates on all 3 drives, it worked! However, they would burn only at 2x...NOT 6x... hopefully LG will come out with a newer firmware that will allow these disks to be burnt at 6x (soon I hope)... I'm not finding fault with either Verbatim nor LG, I have had EXCELLENT experience with both! I have been using the Verbatim BD-R LTH 2x type disks in the past and have had NO Coasters ever! Great work LG & Verbatim!!!
