Mostly good, but...

DIRECTV AM21N ATSC TUNER for HR24 and Lower and H24/H25
DIRECTV AM21N ATSC TUNER for HR24 and Lower and H24/H25

Pros: Good for viewing and recording local channels same as satellite channels, including program guide. Have used with both an HR-34 and currently an HR-44 receivers.

Cons: I now have the 2nd one of these boxes and have seen some of the same (but not all) problems with both. I honestly think my local channels probably cause the problem but the box should be engineered to handle it. My 2 local channels are not operated very professionally, have lots of technical problems. Using these boxes, sometimes if left on the same channel for an hour or more, at a break between shows the channel just goes black, and stays that way until switched to another channel and back. The first box also developed problems with audio on 1 of the channels, after a certain amount of time on same channel the audio would start having problems and finally go completely away, again would have to switch to another channel and back to clear the problem. When bad audio started showing up on recordings, I bought the 2nd box to see if that would fix the problems, so far the 2nd box has not shown the audio problem, but time will tell. It does have the same problem with channels blacking out after a time though.

Overall Review: Since I've not seen anyone else report the same problems I'm seeing (and some of the same problems with 2 different boxes), strengthens my belief that it is caused by something my local channels are doing that confuses these boxes. But no idea how to resolve that.

Doesn't work for me

LINKSKEY LDV-212ASK 2-Port DVI + USB Audio & Mic KVM Switch w/ Cables
LINKSKEY LDV-212ASK 2-Port DVI + USB Audio & Mic KVM Switch w/ Cables

Pros: Cheap and comes with all cables.

Cons: Video does not work for either of my 2 Windows machines, one running Vista and the other XP Pro. The Vista machine will boot up OK thru the KVM, but once you switch it to the other port and then back again the video dies, must be rebooted to get it back. The XP machine will have lo-res video when booting thru the KVM until it gets past the Windows screen, but then video dies, and it never has video again. The XP machine also has Ubuntu (Linux) on it configured as dual-boot, strangely enough if I boot that machine up in Ubuntu the KVM works great, video switches off and back on as it should. But Vista machine will still lose video when switching to it. I have emailed Linkskey "Support" but have received no answer. I am very disappointed with this whole transaction.

Overall Review: Aside from not working, this KVM design is like so many other products nowadays, they make the item as light and small as possible, but then the cables are so huge and stiff making it impossible to place it the way you would like. Also having connections on the front is bad in my opinion.
