This review is from: Intuit Quickbooks Premier Contractor 2013
Pros: Looks different and more modern, if that's what you want.
Cons: Small invoice description area; Overall, way to graphical and clumsy. Background colors too weird for me to try to read....black? No choices for desktop color anymore. What were they thinking of? Who designed this?? MS?? Overall, I wouldn't have upgraded from 2011.
Other Thoughts: I should have waited until 2014. It's still Quickbooks, but it's been scaled down to look confusing. Not a fan, but it works like it's worked over the years. Read reviews before deciding. I did, but went ahead anyways and I'm kind of sorry.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Intuit Quickbooks Payroll Enhanced 2013
Pros: Okay, if you don't have more than 3 employees to pay; includes tax forms. Didn't install the software, just needed the key. Price!
Cons: Still had to call Intuit to authorize key, and actually downgrade from unlimited to basic.
Other Thoughts: Be careful when purchasing. This is just Basic for 3 employees but since it's enhanced, it includes the tax forms if you use them. I had a tough time because I still had to call Intuit, who tried to tell me I had to repurchase it from those crooks for $449, and that was for same version I just purchased here for way less! Plus I purchased the 2013 Premier Contractor to upgrade my version from 2011, and I was given the best deal from Newegg for purchasing both softwares. Less than if I purchased the Payroll alone from Intuit. Unbelievable!
Intuit tried to double talk me and tell me that it was a problem to downgrade from Unlimited to the Basic version I purchased, and I would have to get credit from them, etc. I told them then I'll uninstall all of this, and start over, and don't b.s. me, please! After spending over 2 hours on phone from rep to rep, I finally got someone to walk me thru the authorization and downgrade. Just be persistent. But be aware though, this version is not Basic Unlimited, which I no longer need at this time.
Pros: Easy install, recognized by Vista and installed its drivers. Lightscribe works fine. Quiet drive.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Its face is very plain, nothing fancy but it does its job well and that's what counts! No IDE cable included. Did have Nero software and pack of screws and basic install instructions. Overall, a great deal at a great price!READ FULL REVIEW
