This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply
Pros: It's cheap
Cons: There is a good reason why this is cheap. Obviously, Corsair is cutting corners in quality to make this cheap. If you are considering buying this because it's cheap, ask yourself: is it cheaper to buy this, and them ship it back to RMA it once it fails?
Other Thoughts: 2 months ago, I built a computer with this as the PSU. One month later, the computer failed, all because of the Power Supply. I RMAed it one month ago, and now one month later, I got my replacement from Corsair.
THE REPLACEMENT PSU IS BAD. MY COMPUTER STILL WON'T BOOT.
Get a different Brand. Seriously, save yourself time and hassle and frustration. Get a higher quality PSU, from a different brand.
Pros: It's cheap.
Cons: So the motherboard was working fine for one month. And then it suddenly died. My computer would simply not boot up.
I checked my ram, my graphics card, my cpu on different computers and they all work. So I've come to the conclusion that this motherboard is to blame.
Other Thoughts: I am very disappointed with this board. Obviously, I was lured by the cheap price. But I guess I never learned my lesson about buying cheap stuff. If you buy a cheap motherboard, and it fails, not only do you have to pay to return it, but you have to buy a whole new motherboard as well.
If you are looking to buy this motherboard because it's cheap, please think twice before buying this. Look at all the negative reviews. If you get this board, there's a high chance it will fail, and you'll end up wasting money to get a whole new one.
Look at higher quality motherboards from a different brand. They're cheaper in the long run.
