Pros: Solid construction. Mostly metal, which should dissipate heat better than a plastic enclosure. Functions like a champ. Fan is pretty quiet, certainly no louder than my quietest case fan.
Recently discovered that it also works with a 2.5" SATA (laptop) hard drive. Although there's no way to mount it securely in the enclosure out of the box, it can be seated safely for temporary usage/data retrieval. Nice bonus there.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Good value considering it functions with both 3.5" and 2.5" SATA. Could easily drill some holes to make a 2.5" drive mountable without impinging on its 3.5" functionality. Looks like a retro car from the future. Vrooom!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Link Depot HHS-10 10 ft. Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable
Pros: It's a completely functional, solidly built, modern HDMI cable at a low (and reasonable) price. Interesting look, but then again who cares because I rarely see it.
Other Thoughts: I'm something of an audio enthusiast and sometimes splurge on higher end interconnect builds from boutique cable shops. But digital is digital, and there's absolutely no reason to go crazy or be duped into spending outrageous prices on brand name trash.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SYBA Connectland Black 1 x Wheel Wireless Optical 1200 dpi Mouse
Pros: Essentially plug and play with a MacBook. Tracks on absolutely any surface (off-white vertical textured couch, bunched up Snuggie, grainy blonde wood, LCD screen, my hair, whatever).
Smallish, not hideous, relatively inexpensive. Doesn't require an awkward dongle sticking out the side of the laptop, which means I can continue ancient technique of extremely lazy, borderline-abusive laptop use.
Right click and side buttons have Windows-like functionality out of the box. Package included two AAA batteries.
Cons: Battery compartment is weird--the second battery doesn't sit directly on the first. This confused me something fierce, and I ended up snapping a thin piece of plastic in half. Fortunately the battery compartment lid/hatch still stays on no problem.
Other Thoughts: Nice solution for operating a MacBook while it's closed and connected to a TV. Mouse functions ~1 second after powering on. Takes 3-5 seconds to wake up after going idle.READ FULL REVIEW
