Pros: It is Corsair!!! This company not only has first line well engineered products but the consumer oriented warranties backs up their faith in their products. Over the past 10+ years I have had two product failures & I had no problems receiving replacements. In one case I received a free upgrade due to the product no longer being in production. Corsair walks the talk & few companies today care about their customers the way they do. Consumers are not used as their beta testers which establishes my trust.
The various colors of the DRAM makes for colors coordinated with the motherboards.
Cons: None that I can think of except that I was spoiled by the previous low, low prices. But....a great company cannot stay in business without making a fair profit.
Other Thoughts: I am concerned about the expansion to too many various products, however the quality of all of the products is still first rate. Hopefully Corsair does not lose sight that the products must be top quality & consumers trust in that quality is what keeps Corsair a top rated company.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Nero Nero 11 Platinum
Pros: Nero is a reliable product that does everything as advertised once you master the basics of the user manuals. There are more bells & whistles (some would call it bloat) than the average consumer would probably use. I have owned Nero 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, & 11 & I think Nero is the best available audio/video software bang for the buck.
Cons: Nero is NOT intuitive to use! You MUST read & understand the user manuals for each item of software that you plan to use. That is a biggie because most people do not like to read computer file user manuals while trying to learn how to use the software. A printed user manual would be best. Plus, Nero does not do a good job of describing what the software programs are to be used for as a synopsis at the beginning of the user manuals. This is also a biggie because no one wants to learn a program that they are unsure as to what it is supposed to enable you to perform.
Other Thoughts: Some near identical Nero programs are included in newer versions but they are titled by different names than the prior versions & you are not informed as to what they are now called or where they are now located. For example: In Nero 10 there is a video burning program named Nero Vision which is included in the Nero 11 category named Nero Video & it is named just plain old "DVD". It is frustrating to have to muddle through or search for & learn programs that you may never use. Nero is an excellent software but the communication of how to use it needs a lot of improvement. Bad communication equals bad reviews.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I purchased this RAM 7 1/2 months ago & I installed it onto an X58 mobo. It worked great even though it was not certified for an X58 mobo. A month ago I finally had all of my pieces to assemble an Ivy Bridge board & CPU. I removed the RAM from the X58 board & installed it into the 1155 board & it performs great for a 7-7-7-20 timed RAM.
Cons: Initally the RAM would not boot my Asus mobo but the MemOK feature self-adjusted the RAM & it has been great.
Other Thoughts: Corsair, like all companies, have occasional failures. I have used many different Corsair products & I have learned to trust their hardware, software & customer service.READ FULL REVIEW
