Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security Complete 2014 - 5 Devices
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

3 out of 5 eggs Worth what I paid 01/25/2014

This review is from: Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security Complete 2014 - 5 Devices

Pros: It was free from Ally Bank

Cons: I don't really know if it is effectively blocking anything. I get a LOT of false positives when installing software. (Although they always say to stop AV software during an install, I haven't had to actually do that since the 90's!)

Other Thoughts: I don't think I'd pay for this, unless I knew it really did something. I am using it on a Mac, so my exposure and experience is likely different than a Windows user.

Intuit Quicken Deluxe 2013

1 out of 5 eggs reluctant purchaser, don't expect rebate 01/24/2013

This review is from: Intuit Quicken Deluxe 2013

Pros: now works with iPhone
Good price

Cons: no Mac version
Intuit won't honor rebate (excuse not a "participating retailer", conveniently there is no list of participating retailers.)

Other Thoughts: Had to buy as prior version's ability to perform online banking was expiring. I was really hoping for a native Mac version, Quicken is the only thing I use Fusion/Windows for anymore on my Mac.

EDIMAX BR-6258n IEEE 802.11b/g/n Wireless Nano Size Multi-purpose Travel Router/ Range Extender/ Universal Adapter, Small Size Easy To Carry, iQ-Setup for Hassel Free Installation, and Power Fed by PC/Laptop USB port Supported
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Did I say it was small?, USB powered orAC adapter, 802.21n, fantastic purchase @ $19.99. Last travel router I saw with n on newegg.com was ~$80. Great for iPod &iPad owners without 3G while traveling.

Cons: Doesn't have 5 GHz 'N', DST setting odd.

Not having 5 GHz N isn't that big of a deal, but there isn't much to complain about. DST setting let's you set the month and day of change, but DST changes occur in certain week of month, not specific date (at least in US). Might be a problem for less than 1% of owners.

Other Thoughts: Bought to replace small router, with a big brick, that I use for travel. I wish I bought two, my wife has already claimed this one!
