Pros: Touchscreen on this 15" model is fantastic. I have not had any issues navigating or using the onscreen keyboard. Brightness levels seem even and display is crisp.
Keyboard has a good feel to it, you get a firm press while you type. The keyboard backlight isn't on by default and I had to go into the Lenovo Win8 app to turn it on/off. I haven't located the keyboard shortcut for it. The keys are not individually illuminated.
I immediately replaced the 1TB drive with a 256 GB SSD. The rubber border and thin casing required that you be gentle so as not to bend the rubber too much or crack the thin casing.
I cloned the 1TB drive to a 256GB SSD using Paragon OS migrate using another computer. After installing the SSD, it booted up immediately, no need to repair boot partition.
Haven't been able to put the i5 through all it's paces, it did stall once for ~20 seconds when downloading/installing modules from Cygwin.
Battery life seemed to be around 4 hours. This was with screen at half brightness.
Unlike Flex 2 this does fold back 360 deg
Cons: My laptop arrived with red scuff marks on lid. Haven't figured out best way to remove them.
Battery is not easily replaceable (if at all).
Trackpad has several issues:
* Mouse cursor disappears spontaenously
* Trackpad stops scrolling
* Is a little jumpy when you tap click the trackpad
* Trackpad click doesn't feel firm
Spent 20 minutes removing bloatware
Can't disable webcam in BIOS
5400 RPM stock HDD (replaced immediately)
Other Thoughts: Newegg lists a CD/DVD drive in product description but my 15" model did not come with one. Not a dealbreak since I don't have use of one.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: WiFi included
Cons: Dead at 40 days with very little use. RMA'd to Gigabyte (had to pay for shipping). I would have refunded for but I was past 30 day window. It's been a few months and I use it occasionally but has just died again. Will have to go through RMA process againREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great when it worked
Cons: Used the computer about 1-2 times a week. This is a new build I put together about 40 days ago. Today the PSU would not power on. I disconnected all components from the mobo and still not sign of life.
Requesting RMA from Corsair since Newegg replacement window is only 30 days.
