Best Monitor I've Ever Had the Pleasure of Owning
Pros: Purchased Sept. 2013. This price point allowed me to dump my extra budget into a 7990. + Amazing value. + Response time has been great. + Great customer support. Answered my questions promptly and effectively.
Cons: Nit-picks. - non-maneuverable base - non-mountable without minor modifications - 1 stuck pixel (took me 4 months to see the bugger, and I lose track of it all of the time.)
Overall Review: Debating whether or not to get an additional two of these in the near future, would definitely consider QNIX as the only 1440p brand I'd buy at the moment.
BUYER BEWARE
Pros: 1. Great Sound Quality. Huge boost for under $100 bucks to the on-board.
Cons: 1. Driver's are terrible for Win7. Consistent problems after install. 2. First card died after 3 days. RMA'd 3. Second card died after 3 months.
Overall Review: DO NOT BUY THIS CARD. I've wasted over $100 on sending this card back for an RMA only to have the new one die shortly after.
Samsung B-Die
Pros: + Will base rating on whether this hits minimum of 3600MHz at 16CL on a Ryzen R5.
Cons: + Will base rating on whether this hits minimum of 3200MHz at 14CL on a Ryzen R5.
Overall Review: Will update next weekend when the system is put together.
DOA RAM
Pros: It posted at 2400MHz.
Cons: Unable to post above 2400MHz neither XMP nor manual timings helped. System crashed several times when stress testing even at 2400MHz.
Overall Review: Purchased this set of RAM for my brother's 1600X with the B350 MSI Pro Carbon; thought G. Skill's own "Ryzen" branded RAM would be a no-brainer but it's been nothing but a pain in the rear. After five hours of debugging I've given up and order G.Skill Trident-Z, as I have this RAM working at 3200MHz in two other systems without a problem. Very unfortunate experience, but likely just a bad batch.
August 2016: XFX RX 480 GTR Black Edition
Pros: Incoming review and benches upon receipt. + Best Temps and Quietest Aftermarket Cooler + 3 + 2 (Fans only) Year Warranty + Full Back Plate + No Sales Tax
Cons: Priced above the rest. - $60 above MSRP - $5 Shipping
Overall Review: ~ No Unnecessary RGB
Mixed Reviews
Pros: + Design: I love the black/white styling of the monitors. + Controls: Touch Sensor controls are nice! While it takes getting used to, once you've placed your settings for the monitor the buttons themselves blend in seamlessly. + Crisp Image: I worked for a electronics retailer while in college and got to play around with my HDTV/Comp set ups. I replaced my 40" Sharp Quattron that I had connected to my PC with these two 21.5" (43" total screen size) and saw a dramatic increase in the sharpness of textures and images.
Cons: - (1 of 2) Moniters' has a whole column of stuck pixels; occurred roughly 2 months after time of purchase. E-mailed ASUS have not hear back. Extremely disappointed with customer service. - Faded Black: to be expected unless you are spending $250+ per monitor. - Lack luster base (already knew that purchasing) limits swiveling and position.
Overall Review: Purchased two of these back in January. One has a whole column of stuck pixels (green) since March. Cannot give a better rating until I hear back from ASUS. Avoiding ASUS for my next monitor purchase.
