Rosewill RNX-G300LX - Wireless WRT54 Wi-Fi Adapter - IEEE 802.11b/g, Up to 54 Mbps Data Rate, PCI Interface with 2 dBi Antenna
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Supposedly works with old operating systems like Win98SE and Win2K

Cons: Unable to make this wireless card work.

Other Thoughts: As per the RMA:
Unable to make this wireless card work. Installed on
WinXP computer. Installed driver and utility from CD.
Tried many configurations. Despite reporting "excellent"
signal, wireless connection repeatedly was up then
down, cycling about every 10 seconds. No data transfer,
and browsers report can't find server. Router is not
problem, wireless card on Vista laptop works fine. And
router connected directly to WinXP computer works fine.
Will have to try different adapter

Nippon Labs 6 ft. USB cable A/Male to A/Female extension USB 6ft cable Model USB-6-MF 6 feet
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Arrived quickly
Cheap, on sale

Cons: Questionable usefulness

Other Thoughts: This cable uses thin wires. It won't work with a USB hard drive, too much power is lost in the cable. Ok, for a flash drive or other USB device that doesn't draw much current.

Also, I don't think foil and braid are sufficient EMI filters. Really should have a ferrite core around the cable
