This review is from: D-Link GO-SW-8GE 8-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Metal Desktop Switch
Pros: Solid throughput and excellent ping
Cons: Not the same Dlink, but their offbrand called DlinkGo, which is a lower cost, weaker warranty unit.
Other Thoughts: Excellent ping, stronger than my trusted Trendnet Gigaswitch.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: NETGEAR ProSAFE 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch (GS105) - Lifetime Warranty
Pros: Solid performance. Only seldom hung ups with reboots.
Cons: AC adapters are just abysmally bad.
a) they buzz and cause audible interference in audio systems.
b) they fail and not covered by warranty so buying a new one will cost you more than a switch itself.
c) AC adapters run hot.
Other Thoughts: Used to like Netgear a lot but more and more gravitate away from for dishonest warranty claims like "lifetime warranty" that does not cover AC adapters.READ FULL REVIEW
