ASRock A68M-ITX FM2+ / FM2 AMD A68H FCH (Bolton D2H) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Mini ITX AMD Motherboard
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Everything! You can use up to 3 monitors, full DVI dual link resolution capable (2560x1600, which is what I am running right now), 4K HDMI, AND VGA (1920x1080). I have connected an AMD A8-7600 processor. This thing is super fast. I also am using an ADATA SSD.

Cons: Nothing, I have nothing bad to say about this motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this board to anyone looking for a mini-ITX motherboard.

2 out of 5 eggs Small, bad air flow 05/13/2016

This review is from: APEVIA X-FIT-100 Black Steel Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case 250W Power Supply

Pros: It's very small. PSU is powerful enough for everything I needed. Front side USB, eSATA, and audio jacks are nice. It's good to have a 2.5" drive mount instead of the 3.5" drive bay.

Cons: HEAT!!! there is very little air flow. The PSU generates a ridiculous amount of heat. There is a spot for what looks to me like a 60mm case fan, but I doubt there is enough room to fit one. The HDD mount is right over the top of the PSU, so the HDD gets super hot. I was seeing temps up over 70 degrees Celsius.
The PSU does not have the 8Pin connector to the motherboard to power the APU graphics. I had to purchase a 4Pin to 8Pin connector. That worked fine.
The power button sticks. You have to be careful because the power button will stick in the pushed in position so the computer will start up and then immediately turn off. Took me a few minutes my first time powering it on to figure that out.

Other Thoughts: Overall because of the excessive heat I would not recommend this case to anyone. There are others out there around the same size that include a PSU and a case fan for around the same price. Just get a different one.

MSI 17.3

Pros: This thing is fast. Lots of RAM. Plenty of HDD space. I have read that this thing is loud...I don't think it's loud at all. Build quality is superb. It's a beautiful computer. Extremely slim. Sweet gaming graphics.

Cons: No CD/DVD/Blu-ray drive. No SLI graphics cards (not a biggie as the draw is the size/weight). TOUCHPAD IS HORRIBLE. I cannot explain in words the frustration this touchpad has given me. If you plan on connecting a mouse to this thing then no big deal, but if you plan on using the touchpad then do not get this computer. I read the reviews and though "How bad can the touchpad actually be?", well my answer is super frustrating. Expensive. I find that you can get more for your money if you don't need a super slim computer.

Other Thoughts: Overall, would I recommend this laptop to someone else? Yes and No. If you plan to use touchpad DO NOT buy this computer. Otherwise if you are looking for a super portable gaming laptop that is sure to amaze your friends, then definitely this is the computer for you. Otherwise buy a big bulky gaming laptop with a Blu-ray drive and SLI graphics.
