ASRock FM2A88M Extreme4+ FM2+ / FM2 AMD A88X (Bolton D4) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: 1 of the better FM2+ boards. has a decent VRM/Phase setup. has DVI AND VGA as well as a PS2 port. over this is a decent board.

Cons: no VRM heat sink, put some heat sinks on the VRMS they do get notably warm with a 100watt AP{U under full load.

it's not a super clocking top end board but, still pretty decent.

Other Thoughts: if you want a decent board with acceptable VRM/Phases this board is alright. it has some decent quality capacitors and mosfet transistors.

SILVERSTONE Black Aluminum skin reinforced plastic front panel, 0.8mm SECC body MILO Series ML03B Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Pretty decent case, notable ventilation, decent quality. low profile form factor.

Cons: Maybe the finish on the front, it's hard to get a DVD/Blu Ray drive that matches, a brushed or semi gloss black would have been a better finish on the front panel.

Other Thoughts: Cooling could be a little bit better but, i modified mine, in such a way, that is sucks fresh form under neath and feeds it to the video card. I' also used some pretty crazy and un heard of wire management techniques to route quite few of the wires.

I used a stock phenom II cooler on a 65watt regor and lapped them both, temps are acceptable. (overclocked to 3.6) [GT640 2gb LP]

Ill be upgrading to a quad or 6 core in future with an AXP Muscle 200 CPU cooler.

ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2, CPU Cooler - Intel & AMD, Multi-Directional Mount, 92mm PWM Fan
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Great performance and bang for the buck if you can get it for under $25 USD shipped.

Almost always better than the stock cooler

Cons: It doesn't have the best cooling performance of every cooler ever made.

Other Thoughts: These have been around since i first got in to PC gaming in around '06 to '07 and probably longer than that.

The Arctic Freezer 7 has always just worked and worked well. This wouldn't be the first or last Freezer 7 I have bought. I've had 1 or 2 i gave to my friends, that they still have over a year or 2 later and are still going strong today.

5+ K reviews and still going strong.
