This review is from: Cooler Master NotePal X3 - Gaming Laptop Cooling Pad with 200 mm Blue LED Fan
Pros: Sleek, Stylish, Controls, USB powdered, and light weight.
Cons: First one was doa the controls where shorting out. This second one makes a rubbing noise due to it being unbalanced. Its not bad enough for an RMA. Eventually I may try to fix it myself but not for awhile.
Side note (not neweggs fault,no eggs knocked off for this part)... RMA said fedex but it came via every day mail carrier and it was left outside on the windshield of the car that had melting snow/ice on it. Not exactly a good thing for any electronic device. Just glad my wife has good ears and heard someone pull into the driveway.
Other Thoughts: It does its job.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Video cards, quality, beautiful screen, the entire thing is amazing. See other thoughts for more details.
Cons: Keyboard is a little clunky and takes a bit to get use to. I do not like Windows 8 , it feels like its clunky and bogging down the laptop at times. Hopefully after I get more of this bloat ware removed and things tweaked it will be better.
Other Thoughts: Laptop is amazing. Very good quality. Only 2 things that annoy me and they are just personal things. The power brick sits about a foot away from me, same level as the laptop. I can hear it humming some times and thats a pet peeve. The keyboard takes some getting use too, you have to push straight down for it to register but im getting use to it real fast.
I bought this laptop worried... hoping that the reviews and benchmarks where right. That two 750 cards in sli where equal to a gtx 570 in a desktop since this laptop will be my desktop replacement. I am very well pleased. This laptop, on Heaven benchmark came out just a bit slower than an amd 6100, 8gig ram, gtx 570. Almost on par with another pc that has an I5 2400 , 4 gig ram, gtx 570. For information sake, I used Heaven 4.0 on preset setting of Extreme. I wont carry on to much but do some research via search engines. The 750sli is way more powerful than people think.
That was the video graphics test, I did a cpu test that did the bandwidth, and response times. The I7 in this laptop is amazing. It just alittle over 2x faster and 2x the bandwidth than the FX6100. No im no fan boy, I have both amd and intel computers.
I also was worried about micro stuttering. So far I have seen none, and I have pushed this laptop with everything, saw some frames drop down to the 20's but even then no micro stuttering that I could see or visual tearing. (Was using the latest drivers from nvidia, and windows was fully updated)
The Even Better... Some one on here says he was running Skyrim with all kinds of mods... That was questionable in my mind, but I am playing Skyrim modded as well. I have about 13 mods running, and Skyrim settings on Ultra. I dont have an FPS counter but its so smooth it has to be around 40fps.
This laptop is well worth the money. If your looking for a budget-portable system, to play games on.
This review is from: Logitech Performance Mouse MX
Pros: Wireless, very fast response time, no lag, hyper scroll is great for surfing websites that have a huge list of items and you need to get threw it fast. Can be used as a corded mouse while its charging via its usb cord.
If you play FPS games, use the extra usb extension and keep that RF adapter close to the mouse, I keep mine under a 1ft away and works superb for Call of Duty and Borderlands 2. When im lazy I lay back on the couch and use it on the end of the coffee table with my laptop (and cooler) on my chest while I play Star Trek Online.
Cons: Battery Life only lasts 3-4 days, BUT!!! you can use this mouse as a corded mouse while its recharging!!. If you Don't game every day and Don't use this mouse 5+ hours a day, it will last alot longer
Other Thoughts: Battery Life may turn you off, but its a rechargeable AA. You can upgrade this battery for about 12 bucks to a very high "Mah" AA battery and get it to last alot longer. This mouse is excellent for any and all types of work and play.
This mouse is perfect for a gaming laptop.
