Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical

4 out of 5 eggs 5 years 04/08/2011

This review is from: Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical

Pros: I bought this in 2006 and I still use it. outlived my mx700
low Price

Cons: pretty basic
double-click problem (see Other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: It develops the "double-click as single click" problem after awhile that seem to affect all Microsoft mice eventually. A little program called "MouseFix.exe" fixes it perfectly however . Which even works on Windows 7 Professional.

Linksys WRT54GL Wireless Broadband Router 802.11b/g up to 54Mbps/ Compatible with Open Source DD-WRT (not pre-load)
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: not a single crash/reboot problem since purchase unlike my previous d-link.

Cons: had to update stock firmware to dd-wrt for static ip

Other Thoughts: pretty old hardware but reliable.

ZALMAN VF1000 2 Ball VGA Cooler
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

5 out of 5 eggs 06/02/2010

This review is from: ZALMAN VF1000 2 Ball VGA Cooler

Pros: Perfect for 4870. Easy installation.

Cons: Uses its own fan speed controller. I'd prefer to use something driver level.

Other Thoughts: This actually helped me two fold since my HIS 4870 fan died on me, realized its aftermaket fan did a poor job plus the card did not have ram sinks. While I don't get the killer temps some people here did it managed to cut my temps from gpu 60 idle to 45 idle and memory i/o 70 idle to 47 idle.
