Gets the job done, but...
Pros: The wrist rest is easily detachable. The slim cap keys have held up better over time than other slim cap boards I've used. The key markings appear to be thin stickers, but they are very durable and haven't rubbed off or peeled up after months of regular typing and gaming.
Cons: The wrist rest feels sturdier and heavier than the keyboard. It's also uncomfortable. Fortunately, it's removable. If you extend the height adjustment feet with the wrist rest attached, the keyboard flexes and creaks when you type. No non-slip gripper pads on the bottom of the board. Extending the height adjustment feet causes forward pressure on the board to send it skating across the desk. The problem gets worse if you remove the wrist rest. The Caps Lock, Num Pad and Scroll Lock lights are blindingly bright. With a piece of opaque black tape over them, they're still as bright as the lights on other vendors boards.
Overall Review: RAZER: Add a couple of non-slip pads to the bottom of this board and swap the lights out with something a fraction as bright and I would have given it 5 eggs.
bad scroll wheel, bad buttons
Pros: Comfortable mouse with good tracking and good driver options.
Cons: We've owned three of these mice. The scroll wheels broke within the first couple of months on all three mice. Scroll wheel movement became unpredictable and impossible to control. Two of the three mice (the first and the third bought more than a year apart) also quickly developed a problem in which single clicking the left mouse button was always interpreted as a double click by the mouse. The second mouse began interpreting left clicks as right clicks instead. Firmware and driver updates did not solve these problems.
Overall Review: Nice idea, poor quality execution. After the first two died within three months, I tried again a year later on a recommendation that the quality had gotten better. I experienced similar problems again and would not recommend this product.
Good compact mouse.
Pros: Sturdy, durable and compact for those who need it.
Cons: The cord is short even for a notebook mouse. You might need a USB extension cable if you plan to use the mouse with a pc or more than a few inches from your USB port.
Overall Review: We've had a couple of these over the past few years and they get a lot of heavy use. They're great for small hands.
Good, solid keyboard.
Pros: Compact, sturdy, easy to clean, great for small hands.
Cons: A bit small for users with large hands.
Overall Review: If you need a compact keyboard and are comfortable with the key layout, this is a great choice and is very durable.
Happy Ears
Pros: Solid card, easy installation, beautiful sound.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: If you're generally happy with onboard sound and basic speakers, this may not be a cost effective upgrade. If you like your music to sound like you're there, I highly recommend this card.
