Pros: Nice lighting features. New DDR Ram support (z170).
Cons: Lots of minor glitching. I used to Asus being ROCK SOLID. This MB is NOT. It works, but has many little problems that hopefully can be fixed in updates, but right now, after 3 months, I am going back to my x99a due to frustrations. Some of the problems include: running programs that never launch, or launch once and then you have to reboot to get them to run again (Aura software did this as did browsers and office). Turn the machine off (windows shutdown) and the monitor goes blank but the cpu itself, runs fans all to full and never shuts off. Machine fails boot 50% of tries but yet tests out 100%. Windows reset fails, you have to shutdown hold button and reboot manually. Restore from sleep, is a gamble. Fans seems to spin up and down for no reason and fail to follow settings, sometimes. USB items sometimes show up sometimes dont, sometimes stop working after initial use. There are so many more I dont have all night. (I am a educated IT guy and have checked drivers, ram, power etc, and my parts work fine on my x99a MB, so by elimination, it's the MB)
Other Thoughts: I love this MB, just wish it didn't seem so 'haunted'/glitchy. The colors are awesome, the extras are all there...READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: *so far, none.
Cons: This memory doesn't work. Crashes consistently set at rated speed (XMP 3606 and 1601 bios) on ROG Maximus Asus Formula Z170 w/ i6700k. Works fine at 2133 ;( I have tried many different combos, and anytime I set this at rated speed, my system fails to boot, so OC isnt even happening, and I thought I could tweak them to 3733... Even the Asus OC software sets it to 2133 mhz UHG!
Other Thoughts: I have always used Corsair memory never a problem. Patriot and others have given me problems... Was hoping for so much more from this ram.READ FULL REVIEW
