Club3D royalQueen CGAX-R928X7 Radeon R9 280X 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Best thing about it is the recessed fans. Some of the other cards don't have this and it can be problematic in SLi or X-Fire. All in all this is a very nice card especially for LTC mining.

Cons: Just the price. If it were on sale that would have been better

ASUS R9280X-DC2T-3GD5 Radeon R9 280X 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: High clock speed.

Cons: Shattered the fan upon firing it up while in crossfire.
Not ideal for multi-gpu configurations.
Inferior design

Other Thoughts: I have multiple other machines running crossfire configurations and no issues. This card for some reason is designed in a manner that makes it difficult to stack without rubbing the unit below. I found this out the hard way because it appeared to have ample clearance, however the fans hang lower than the chassis, thus at high speed the force of the fan and gravity caused it to lower onto the card below which caused resistance to the fan. Out of all the systems I have constructed this is a first. I could have been more careful, yes however it is not a good design for multi-gpu. Perhaps only (2) cards if you space them out but no real way to achieve a quad setup. Stuck with a broken fan now and an expensive paper weight. Sad because the unit works aside from the broken plastic fins on the fan.
