This review is from: Pretec 64GB Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXC) Flash Card
Pros: Very fast SDXC card.
Using ATTO Disk Benchmark, I got the following speeds using a USB 3.0 Card Reader
Block Read Write
Size Speed Speed
1 143 387
2 284 768
4 1155 3041
8 2343 5950
16 4868 11273
32 10129 18760
64 39009 65048
128 38664 64726
256 38493 64746
512 38512 64683
As you can see, after hitting 64KB block size, the write speeds leveled off at about 38.5 MB/s and the reads were about 64.5 MB/s. In windows, I copied a 25 GB ISO file to the card and averaged 37.9 MB/s for the entire copy. I am truly impressed.

This review is from: AFT XM-35U BEIGE USB 2.0 3.5" Bay, CompactFlash/ SDHC/ SDXC/ microSD/ microSDXC/ miniSD/ miniSDHC/ MultiMediaCard/ Memory Stick/ xD-Picture Card. All-in-one Kiosk Card Reader and Writer
Pros: Lots of options for reading cards, including the new SDHC which is one reason for choosing this one. Simple to plug in and start using.
Cons: Thought I would save some money and I bought an Open-Box... bad idea! This device would mount and briefly read cards, but then windows would pop up an error saying that the device has malfunctioned and that it was disabling the entire device. I tried the card reader on 4 different machines, some running Vista and some running Windows 7. I even tried using USB2 and USB3 ports. Same thing happens on all machines.
Other Thoughts: I may buy another one to see if this was just a fluke. I really like the number of card types it can read. It was also the only SDHC reader in a drive-bay format that NewEgg had at the time.READ FULL REVIEW
