This review is from: Nokia Lumia 521 T-Mobile No Contract 1.0GHz Windows Smart Phone
Pros: Relatively fast; not the processor, the OS.
Unlimited free music
Good, downloadable maps/driving app
Good battery life
Cons: Extremely faint screen (hardly visible in sunlight), which makes the driving app only half usable
Very slightly distorted sound (hardly audible)
Other Thoughts: Got a good deal on it for $60, including shipping. shipping was slooow. As the sun is pretty bright in Vegas most of the time, I gave it away after a couple of weeks.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: HP O10-5600US Intel Atom Z3770 2GB Memory 32GB 10.1" Tablet Windows 8.1 32-bit
Pros: Full Windows 8.1
Good battery life
Cons: Only micro USB port (but that is the standard in this price range)
Audio hardly audible
Needs a Microsoft account to work
Other Thoughts: The strangest thing was that after it arrived, I charged it for four hours and it showed a battery level of 11%. One our later, it was at 13. I called up HP and they wanted to replace it. 30 minutes later, the battery was reported as fully charged and the charge held for several days with the unit turned off. I canceled the replacement, because the next HP rep said you should charge it for 12 hours after you receive it. Overall, the unit is working fine for what it is. You will need an external speaker, if you actually want to hear the sound.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The best card under $600 when it works, unless you have a problem with latency (which depends on your application; I simply wanted good sound).
Cons: The card stopped working after 10 months. Asus replaced it five times; in every single case, they sent me a defective unit that did not power on (there is a bright red LED to show if it does). I bought another three 15-to-4-pin converter cables to no avail. The 5V and the 12V show, but the card does not power on.READ FULL REVIEW
