This review is from: BUFFALO LS210D0301 3TB LinkStation 210 NAS Personal Cloud Storage and Media Server
Pros: * Great price for a 3TB NAS.
* Quick and easy setup (see other thoughts).
Cons: * Speed. My initial sync of ~450GB took about 20 hours. The speeds are on par with USB 2.0.
* Lack of adequate documentation (see other thoughts).
Other Thoughts: The initial setup instructions are fairly poor, just pictures showing setup and the software installation. There is management software and a more complete user manual included on the provided disk. If you are moderately familiar with web management interfaces and network drives you should be able to set this up easily without the provided software.
As I have only had this installed for a few days I cannot speak for long-term usage, though I did have an issue where the network drive dropped off and I could not reach the web interface, I had to reboot the drive to restore functionality.
As stated above in the Cons, this NAS is slow. My initial backup sync to the drive was ~450GB, which took around 20 hours to complete. This is not a huge deal breaker for me, as I am utilizing it as a backup solution more than anything else, and there will not be a lot of traffic to and from the drive.
As of the review I have not tested the mobile functionality.
This is one of the cheapest available 3TB NAS and is from a brand I usually expect to have good quality products. Unfortunately because of the speeds I can only give this 3 eggs. I hope that this is something that can be addressed by a future firmware update.
Pros: This is a great monitor. Crisp image, everything you could want for quality in a sub-22" monitor. The only other thing I could ask for is a VESA mount, but that would have added to the thickness.
Other Thoughts: The monitor only has a single displayport. As I knew this when I bought it I do not consider this a con, and definitely not worth dropping an egg over.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Well priced
Simple, not flashy
Included case fan
Cons: Could not open MB tray side panel
Other Thoughts: This is a good case for a budget build, having 2 5.25" drive bays and 2 internal 3.5" bays. Lack of USB 3.0 is easily overcome by an adapter for the external 3.5" bay with 30 pin connector. My only complain is that I was not able to get the other side panel open, stripped the screws trying. Also, thumbscrews could be provided for the side panel, luckily I had a few lying around. Cable management leaves a little to be desired, but that is expected for a budget mATX case.READ FULL REVIEW
