This review is from: Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5GB 8X with Branded Surface - 50pk Spindle
Pros: Verbatim DL media.
Cons: Not made in Singapore
Other Thoughts: Just got the 50 pack (97000) after they were on sale from Newegg. They are in branded packaging. They are the newer discs (8X), not the older ones that I'm used to using (2.4X). As a result these are made in United Arab Emirates, not in Singapore. I usually have very good results with the Verbatim DL media, unlike the TDK DL media I got a while back. Those were horrible. So I will have to wait and see how these discs do. I will provide an update once I start burning.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: TDK 8.5GB 8X DVD+R DL 25 Packs Spindle Disc Model 48973
Pros: None - zero.
Other Thoughts: Well, I bought these when Newegg had a sale on them, about $11 for the 25 discs. I read the reviews and decided to give them a try due to the inflated high price of the Verbatim DL discs. Well, I've gone through about half of the spindle, and of those, only 2 have burned successfully. And of the 2, one had stuttering issues so bad at the layer break that it was just about un-watchable. I'm not sure who is writing the positive reviews for these discs on here, either TDK employees, or people paid by TDK to write the positive reviews. What a waste of my money. I'll be contacting TDK to try and get back my hard earned money, but at the least, this will be the last TDK discs that I buy. Oh, and my DVD burner has the latest firmware, and I was burning on the lowest possible speed, so that wasn't the problem. They are just junk discs.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Looked good, when it was working.
Cons: Broke 11 days out of the box.
Other Thoughts: Think I'll stick with Dell monitors in the future.READ FULL REVIEW
