This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H60 (CWCH60) High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Pros: Works Great, upgraded from a hyper 212 plus since I got this refurb on sale for the great price of 29.99.
- Idle temps on the hyper 212 plus with my fx6300 at 4.4ghz were 22-38C and prime95 would get it up to 64C
- Idle temps with the H60 on the same 4.4ghz overclock were 12-23C and prime 95 only got it up to 51C
So the reviews of people who say the H60 gives them high temps, or that the hyper 212 is better, clearly did something wrong during installation.
Less Heat!! - the hyper 212 may have done a decent job cooling the cpu, but it would heat up my case like a sauna. Having the H60 radiator vent directly out of the case keeps my case, and gpu much cooler as well.
Was also very easy to install for AMD so I am not sure why there are all these reviews saying it was confusing. It uses the reference amd backplate and standoffs so all you have to do is tighten the water block down. Was a pain for me since I was switching over from the Hyper 212. I had to remove the hyper 212 backplate and standoffs and replace them with the stock amd ones (luckily I still had them laying around.)
Other Thoughts: -I used arctic silver instead of the pre-applied thermal compound.
-Also added another fan for a push/pull configuration
-Comes with brackets for intel processors pre installed on the waterblock. So for AMD installs you have to remove the intel brackets from the waterblock and install the AMD brackets. (one of the pump hoses get in the way of one of the bracket screws, and frustrated me for a total of 3 minutes. Not a big deal.)
This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 200R Black Steel / Plastic compact ATX Mid Tower Case
Pros: Lots of vents
If you need a case this is probably the best in the price range.
space between the 5 inch and 3 inch mounting cages means pretty much any gpu will fit. my 280x has about 6 inches to spare, and its a great spot to have a fan blow right on the side of the gpu aswell.
Other Thoughts: 1000x better than the awful rosewill redbone case i bought for my build, and at basically the same price.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes
Pros: -Decrease temps
-Increase in core clock
Cons: large but fit my tight mid case
Other Thoughts: took my fx6300 from stock 3.5ghz at 61C with factory heatsink to 4.4ghz at 49C.
Impressive and well worth the $30
