AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor

Pros: Overclocks extremely well. Currently have it at 4812mhz with 1.421v on a Thermaltake 120mm watercooling system (50c maximum load temperature).

Rated 11,500 in Passmark's cpu benchmark test at 4812mhz on a Sabertooth 990FX r2.0 Asus board.

Plays current title games very well and multi-tasks like no other...

Cons: Isn't Intel. AMD chipsets are much slower than intel chipsets. Passmark's AMD overall scores are much lower than standard Intel setups.

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Functions. High quality materials and stock fan is well rated and quiet.

Cons: Doesn't cool a Haswell very efficiently, especially if you plan to overclock.

Doesn't seat tight to an 1150 Intel socket - you can twist it around even when it's installed correctly.

Other Thoughts: I eventually scrapped it and replaced it with a simple consumer-grade Corsair H60.
