Pros: Lots of storage space. Reliable. Nothing fancy about these drives... they just work.
Cons: Other than the time to perform a low-level format, none.
Other Thoughts: Not the fastest of drives, but both drives are only being used to store photos, video and my music collection.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Cheap and burns discs without a problem. Never timed how long it takes to burn, because I don't have that kind of time constraint for burning. Use to rip BD, DVD and music CD's and have never had a problem. Never had a problem burning discs either.
Cons: Would think that companies would make the faceplates in different colours... I prefer black, but when I build for family, it would be nice to match it up with their cases.
Other Thoughts: Open/Close button is a slightly raised bump instead of a button sticking out of a knockout. One less thing to clean dust out of.
Bought two. One for my machine and one for the parents (they probably won't notice, but I'd rather they have a BD compatible unit, even if they rarely use it).
Pros: Given to step-father for use in his shop and gun room. Paired with a blue tooth adapter to the receiver so he can have the tablet near him while he's working. He loves it. Bought a trans-flash card to store his music on it. Mom is not happy with the loud music though. This was a better option than him having a small mp3 player... this isn't going to get lost.
Cons: Adjusting volume is a pain with anything. Can't access from the pre-loaded apps, so you have to go into the settings to adjust.
Other Thoughts: Given the price:
Screen size and quality are decent.
Pre-loaded apps. are fine for my step-father.
Battery life hasn't been an issue for streaming music, so I'm guessing it can go hours on a charge while streaming music over the BT.
