This review is from: Linksys EA6900 AC1900 Dual Band SMART Wi-Fi Gigabit Router
Pros: 4Gbhz and 5Ghz fast speeds. My network supports up to 80-85 Mbps. I get a full 85 UL speed at 5Ghz when close to the router (speedtest.net iOS application).
Easy to set up and follow web interface and iOS / Andorid apps. This router works VERY WELL when properly configured. I was able to optimize it for my location.
Cons: Tech Support for Linksys sucks! They are very keen of providing good service (that's good). BUT, the techs do not have the background to help. I can tell they are looking up the info in some kind of database. It also seems that they are somewhere outside the country, which makes it difficult to communicate because their phone gets cut off some times and they do not always understand/pronounce English properly for US-based listener. For 2nd-level support, the engineers never called me back. If you are going to sell a device that requires fine-tuning like this type does (all of these do, regardless of manufacturer), then you need to educate your front-line techs on how to assist users with that, not just try and test each frequency one at a time. They should be able to tell you to download a particular tool to help you and easily see which channels to choose. I had to do all this on my own.
Other Thoughts: You have to be able to scan channels at your location (everywhere you have Wifi equipment) to be able to properly optimize speed on both frequencies. But, this is true for any WiFi network configuration that you use and want to speed up. You have to optimize for your particular location. I used WiFi Analyzer app on an Android tablet to see frequency/channel conflicts at each location where my equipment is located. I optimized the wifi 1st and 2nd floor locations and now have a great config. I get three times more speed than before (up to 50 Mbps vs. 10-12 before)on another floor (30-40 feet away from router.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Night Owl B-PODVR-8CM 8 Channel H.264 Level Surveillance Smart DVR Kit
Pros: Comes with 8 cameras, price, ease of installation. (See cons for important information).
Cons: The system overall has issues and seems clumsy. The menu is slow and could be greatly improved. I would prefer ot have a PC connected with a good DVR card than this. DO NOT BUY THIS!
Tech support from the vendor sucks. It takes weeks to get a replacement and you are not recording while they take care of that. It just does not seem right.
Cameras in package are only 420 lines and it is hard to see clearly what is recorded. Also, cameras seem to focus far from the camera, so aiming them takes time.
This review is from: G.SKILL 32GB microSDHC Flash Card w/ SD Adapter Model FF-TSDG32GA-C10
Pros: Low price (when I bought them).
Fast for microSD (10 Mbps peak)
No issues with cell phone or laptop.
Cons: MicroSD converter that comes with MicroSD chip has low quality and needs improvement. However, the MicroSD card is OK.READ FULL REVIEW
