This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 200R Black Steel / Plastic compact ATX Mid Tower Case
Pros: Straight forward design, room to grow, no tools required, cost effective, a nice dark minimalist design to the exterior, allows for multiple cooling/ventilation configurations although it ventilates pretty well as it is. The drive bays are nice and easy to work with.
Cons: The openness of the top of the case for extra fans may cause things to fall it the case and damage the components inside. A small METAL screw or a LIQUID could very easily go straight down on top of everything. Keep watch on such things. No External 3.5" Drive Bays. Not that was a big deal or anything, it just doesn't have it.
Other Thoughts: I have two. They are the first cases I've bought that weren't salvaged and jacked up. So far, after several months of tinkering and moving, they've held up great and were easier to work with than I anticipated. Unless you have some strange motherboard issues, you really don't need tools to get it all together. I have only one issue and I can't put it under con, because it was an oversight on my part, but the front panel is a USB 3.0. Pretty awesome, fit my first build perfectly. The second build was with an older motherboard that lacked the capacity for it. Totally my fault. Gotta remember to read the directions!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Performs better than all my other drives I've owned. Quiet. seems more responsive than I expected.
Cons: No specific con.
Other Thoughts: To be fair, all the other drives I've owned have been used previously and had various levels of use and age. I am in no way a computer expert, but it seems that many hard drives can have quirks. In my experience, they can fail at anytime. Sometimes there are signs of impending failure, sometimes not. So far, this drive has been quiet and responds as desired. with no signs of impending doom.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Cost effective and works as required. Has performed all tasks required and as described.
Cons: No specific con.
Other Thoughts: This was the first brand new disc read/writer I've ever bought and installed. All other drive replacements up to this one have been previously used or salvaged. It is just as noisy as half of those drives and quieter than the other half. Overall a good buy.READ FULL REVIEW
