Lots of configuration options
Cons: Polling- my router spends more time polling my ISP and my computer than it does working
Every 30 minutes or so I lose both the wired, and wifi connection on this router. This also can be initiated by attempting high-upstream bandwindth. In short, I cant do anything on this router.
I get kicked while gaming, and the internet crashes when I try to upload data to work.
Other Thoughts: Fail...and ASUS does not offer warranty replacements.
This will be my last ASUS product.
Hope everyone else's router hangs in there!
Pros: The speed: I have 6 wireless devices and 3 wired devices attached to this router and have not even had a hiccup in continuity. Signal is always strong, and has never dropped. Advanced features are amazing, I have had this router over 2 months and have yet to test them all.
Setup was simple and straightforward.
No more microstutter in Starcraft 2. I have 4 computers simultaneously playing FFXIV on nerd night LAN party, and never do we have any hesitations.
Cons: Setting up static IP addresses within your LAN was different than what I was accustomed to. The refresh rate for the "devices on network" is quite slow.
Other Thoughts: Video games don't make people violent...lag does.
Stay relaxed and buy this router.
This review is from: AVerMedia AVerTVHD Duet PCTV tuner (A188) A188-AF PCI-Express x1 Interface
Pros: Installed quick and easy- I didnt install the Avermedia software, just the driver.
Works in windows 7 and 8
Have it hooked up to OTA antenna and receive about 30 channels.
Cons: My channel for ABC does not come in well; most likely this is due to local signal strength as I have adjusted the antenna too.
Other Thoughts: Windows Media Center is one of the most underutilized software. I am extremely impressed with the simplicity of this card and WMC.
Replaced our Tivo and cable bills!
