This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 500R Arctic White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case
Pros: Good cable routing, plenty of ports and fans. Can barely tell it is on at low fan speed selection. White is better than black for those in dusty environments. Modular cages allow for those super long graphics cards. Solidly built - not a tank by any means, but solid enough for a stationary case that will receive the occasional bump
Cons: Have to be picky and reach to find some cons -
The case light button may be difficult to actuate if you have larger fingers. If you have this in a darkened room you may want to disconnect or cover the HDD access light as it is a quite bright white LED. You may want right angle SATAs for larger HDD.
Other Thoughts: Rebate card arrived quickly, about 1 monthREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Recognized and works, easy install, feels solid physically.
Cons: No cons, other than the lower speed default , but not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: Used on ASUS Z-87-A, BIOS had it set for 1333Mhz initially. but the XMP profile set it to the correct speed.
Have been getting some system messages on low memory when playing games using the Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics - no noticeable performance difference though. May just be a windows setting to get rid of this.
Pros: Low cost and works well on all media tried. Good if you still prefer hard storage over flash and backup drives for critical data. No complaints thus far.
Cons: Spinner motor is loud when running DVDs. Would probably detract from watching a DVD movie if you had that intent.READ FULL REVIEW
