Pros: I am happy with this drive. With DVDFAB or Cyberlink I was able to write the full 23.3 GB in about 20 minutes. Ripping a 50GB BD took about 35 minutes.
The one i got was the latest firmware, so i didnt have to update.
I think you are always better off buying OEM and purchasing/obtaining your own software then using what they come with.
Cons: The drive sometimes makes an annoying high pitched sound, but not often.
Other Thoughts: Good drive for the price. I bought the Optical Quantium BD-R 4x discs, they burn at 12x with this drive and DVDFab or Cyberlink.
People who complain about lack of software are mentally encumbered. (newegg's inappropriate word is sensitive...) They put OEM in the description for a reason. Irritating when people give items bad reviews becasue of that...
This review is from: Vinpower Digital 25GB 4X BD-R 50 Packs Disc Model OQBDR04LT-50
Pros: Bought a pack of these and was a bit skeptical about quality because of the price. But after using them, I'm impressed. Burning them with my LiteOn IHBS112-04 is very fast.
They say 4x, but i am able to burn at 12 with DVDFAB and Cyberlink. They work great in my PS3 as well.

This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Great motherboard for the price. I did not have any issues getting into the BIOS as some have posted.
Currently running RAID on SATA 0-3, 2 TB Samsung Green drives. An OS is installed on SATA 4, and DVD on SATA 5.
Cons: Newegg shipped me version 1.0 of the board, 1.1 has been out for some time. Although I couldnt find anything that was changed in the newer version.
Wish it had more SATA connectors, but not a big deal. I can always put a card in.
Manual is hard to understand, but you dont really need that anyway if you know what you are doing.
Other Thoughts: Better then my ASUS board that was double the price.READ FULL REVIEW
