Cooler Master NotePal A200 - Ultra Slim Laptop Cooling Pad with Dual 140 mm Fans and Aluminum Surface
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Looks Nice
Big Fans
Nice Setup

Cons: Does not cool laptop that great
Makes some noise

Other Thoughts: Bought this for my acer 5740g, which has few cooling vents. Temp drop ranges from 0-5c. If you want a silent cooler, this is not for you. The difference between low speed and high speed sound wise is not much different.

I have a NotePal U3 that makes less noise at full speed than this does at low.

SAMSUNG EcoGreen F4 ST2000DL004 2TB 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Fast, cool and large.

Cons: Disappearing data, firmware update = formatted drive.

Other Thoughts: When looking for a new HDD, it was between this and the wd green. I thought this was better, so I got it. Drive worked good until I upgraded the firmware. Now, with over 1tb of data on the drive, windows is telling me to format.

Still recommend the drive, especially since they all ship with new firmware now.

Western Digital WD Green WD10EARS 1TB 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Large, cheap, and cool.

Cons: Reliability?

Other Thoughts: This drive is setup in an external HDD case that does esata and usb. Using esata shows me the speeds (fast for 5400rpm) and the temps (stays low with aluminum case and fan).

Seeing the reviews for drives dying makes me nervous, but I have not had and problem.s
