This review is from: LOGISYS Computer PS480D2 480W ATX12V Power Supply
Pros: It was cheap after Newegg rebate, so I bought it for backup.
Cons: Only one pair of SATA power plugs.
Does not have 8 pin CPU power plug.
Noisy, but not too bad.
No PCI-E power connector for video card.
Other Thoughts: It was cheap after rebate, so I bought it as a backup power supply. It works. It only had a 4 pin CPU power plug, but my motherboard has an 8 pin connector. I have a low power CPU, so it works fine with only 4 pins plugged in.
Only gave it 3 eggs because the power connectors are so dated.
This review is from: CFI Prime 101 CFI-A3089 Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Pros: Needed a cheap case to house an HTPC, and it works.
- Cheap after rebate
- Two 3.5" internal drive bays One under the 5.25" bay, and one vertical. Possible 3rd bay, see below.
- Quite 120mm fan held by screws (not glued).
- Well protected in box for shipping.
- Did not find any sharp edges
Cons: Fan is virtually worthless. It is mounted like a front mount fan, but draws air from bottom of case.
Nice cutout to access bottom of motherboard (save metal cost), but does not lineup with Intel CPU's.
No diagram. No support info on manufacturer's website. It took me a few minutes to figure out where the 3.5" drive holders were.
Power LED is big and bright. I may have to disconnect it.
Other Thoughts: Thin and lightweight. Don't expect a beefy case.
Good construction for a cheap case. No frills, but I did not need frills.
Possible 3rd 3.5" drive holder in front of fan, across from expansion cards. If you want to remove the worthless fan to mount drive, in order to access fan the mounding screw, you have to remove the front cover which is held on by screws.
This review is from: BIOSTAR TH67B LGA 1155 Intel H67 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Works fine with Windows Home Server and Windows XP.
Cons: Motherboard will not POST with WinTV-PVR-500 in the PCI slot. I called tech support, and all they said is that it must be a compatibility problem (did not even try to figure out the problem). Then he mentioned something about the PCI chipset is not designed to handle video. I mentioned this is a video INPUT card, not a video OUTPUT card, and that stumped him. In any case the tech support is worthless.
Other Thoughts: Not sure if I am keeping the MB and using it for WHS, since I want the option to use it as a PVR.
One star for PCI problem and lousy tech support.
