This review is from: ADATA ASDX64GUI1CL10-R Premier Pro 64GB SDHC Card
Pros: I shoot a Nikon D600 and a Leica M9P as well as a few other snapshot level cameras. These SD cards work flawlessly in everything, so far. I've shot a little video with the D600 and experienced no hiccups. If your using a D800 with its 36MP sensor for video these may not be fast enough but with the D600....no problem.
Cons: No cons so far.......
Other Thoughts: Newegg ROCKS!!!!!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Mediasonic HFR2-SU3S2FW Raid 0 (Spanning) JBOD Raid 0 (Stripping) Raid 1 (Mirroring) Raid 3 (Stripped set with dedicated parity) Raid 5 (Striped set with distributed parity) Raid 10 (Mirroring + Striping) 4 3.5" Drive Bays USB 3.0 eSA
Pros: I have the USB 2 version which works flawlessly. I wanted a second enclosure and ended up buying the USB 3 version but I bought the Sans Digital MobileSTOR MS4CT+ which is THIS MODEL only with SansDigital lipstick. I had downloaded the SansDigital RAID Monitoring Utility shortly after connecting the enclosure and I haven't had any disconnect issues. I attribute it to the Utility. The Mac can sleep then wake and it will not disconnect. I have it connected via Firewire 800. I will give you the Download Link but if it does't work then go to SansDigital. The Utility can be found on the SansDigital.com web site. You want to go to the TowerRAID TR4UT+ page (not MobileRAID) and in the Downloads Tab download the RR622 Driver for MAC. SansDigital also has a Utility for Windows & Linux. The Utility is designed to Monitor your Raid as well as build a Software RAID but you don't need the Software RAID part of the Utility because this enclosure is Hardware RAID. Heres the link:
Cons: None, I'm using four 4TB Hitachi 7200 RPM Hard Drive. Everything runs cool and is so quiet I can't tell its running except for the flashing lights.
Other Thoughts: Having an enclosures RAID function that works independently from your PC or Mac is PRICELESS. You DON'T need a PCIe card to get RAID. I have bought several other Enclosures from NewEgg and wanted this Mediasonic Enclosure for that reason but it was out of stock when I NEEDED it so I spent almost $100 more getting the SansDigital version. The SanDigital version is better looking but not a hundred dollars better looking. I now have two MediaSonic and two SansDigital enclosures and none have disappointed me. I have four OWC enclosures and three failed. NewEgg, Mediasonic and SansDigital ROCK!!!!!!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I wanted an inexpensive Hard Disc enclosure that would recognize and work with Disc's above 2 TB's. This enclosure had no problem formatting several 4 TB 7200 RPM Hitachi Desktop Hard Drives.
Cons: For the price, no cons.
Other Thoughts: I have several spare enclosures and docks that I have used in the past to format Hard drives with. Sadly they could only recognize Discs that were no larger than 1.8 and 2.2 Terrabytes. This well made, inexpensive enclosure made it easy to format four new Hitachi 4TB Discs. I used Apples Disc Utility app. with my MacBook Air to do the formatting. NewEgg positively ROCKS!!!READ FULL REVIEW
