Pros: This card reader is sweet. I use it for M2, SD, SDHC, and CF cards. I have not had a problem with the cards insertion or removal. A lot of card readers reserve a drive letter whether you are using it or not. Not this reader. If you download the utility from Kingston for free, it won't show/use any drive letters until you insert a memory card. PLUS it'll change the icon to the type of memory card you inserted. Very cool. Comes with USB extension cord.
Cons: It doesn't read XD cards. USB cord off the unit is INSANELY short (but you do get an extension cable).
Overall Review: I don't know why they created a sliding feature to the reader. It doesn't effect functionality, but it's not a feature I'll be using.
Handy dock for technician work
Pros: The fact it handles IDE and Sata drives (both 3.5 and 2.5) is very handy. It allows me to work on older drives that I've had stacked up but didn't want to get rid of due to size. Mine is USB 3.0 so the transfer speeds is quite nice.
Cons: The drives (IDE and SATA) get rather hot when operating. When I do a long format, I open a window or get some air blowing on it to help keep the drive cool. I doubt it'll melt the plastic dock, but it would be nice if it had a bit of insulation around the connecting points.
Overall Review: If you have people bringing drives to you, this dock assures you that you'll be able to connect to the SATA and IDE drives. Well worth the money if you ask me.
Good value
Pros: Fits and works perfectly with my "old style" white xbox 360. I haven't gone for the Gold membership yet, but soon.
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: It didn't come in a Microsoft branded packaging but it does identify as Microsoft on the storage section of the "system settings".
