This review is from: MSI GeForce GTX 980 GAMING 4G
Pros: Light weight, Extremely good performance, and dead silent even under max load.
Cons: Plastic cover instead of metal. Preferred the metal covers like their older cards. Shadowplay is not available for the cards (yet)
Other Thoughts: I bought two of these to run in SLI - I have never experienced this type of consistent performance before. Even with two cards, you can hear when the fans come on like the blower cards. With two of these on top of each other running a custom fan settings, My temps get up to around 78 at their highest.
I turned on MSI Afterburner to monitor, and with BF4 on ULTRA settings with 150% resolution scaling, I am seeing an average of 150fps which is incredible. All the frame drops and hiccups with the game I've had before are gone.
Also, one thing that isn't mentioned is that there is a neat red light behind the white MSI logo that really adds to the cards for cases with a window. They look mean, and performance is absolutely incredible in SLI. Will be ordering 1440p 144hz monitor here in a week to see how handles that - will update review then.
Pros: The monitor is all put together and ready to go straight out of the box. Plugged it in and it worked instantly. Very sexy style, and already have gotten many compliments on it. The colors are extremely vivid and no light leak. Whites are very white, darks are very dark. I have it sitting next to my older Samsung and the whites on it are almost yellow compared. Games look amazing on it!
Cons: Upgrading to a larger screen but sticking with the same resolution takes away from a couple games running at max settings (Battlefield 3) but you forget about it in just a few minutes. Really, the only other downside would be using more than one as the design is asymmetrical.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: LOFTEK Wireless/Wired Dual Audio Alarm IP Camera (CXS 2200) - Black
Pros: This is a solid camera, and the features are usually found on much more expensive cameras. Good range, and the ability to control it remotely from work without paying for a subscription is great. It is nice to be able to watch my house from work, and rotate the camera with ease. The video stream frame rate is great, too. I can even go to the link from my iPhone and watch the camera as well. You do not need to pay for any extra camera monitoring service.
Cons: In the age of "plug-n-play" this device is far from it. It takes quite a bit to set it up, and if you don't know computers and networking, you will struggle getting it going, as there are many manual settings you need to dial in. The only thing I wish it had was a much longer power cord. I struggled to find a place close enough to a wall outlet without having to wire an extension cord.
Other Thoughts: I"ve wanted a good, wireless camera for years that I could log into from work and watch my house, and have it motorized so I can move the camera around, and this camera is a home run. Night vision is good, and daytime works fine too. Again, if you aren't knowledgeable in networking, port forwarding, static IP's and all that, you'll need a friend to come over and help.READ FULL REVIEW
