Cons: The first one I received was having problems booting, occasionally restarting multiple times before the OS could initialize. Then it bricked. The fans would spin but it wouldn't POST. I had filed for an RMA and received another broken motherboard. It still POSTs successfully, but abruptly powers off and restarts during OS initialization.
I have installed the latest bios and firmware and tested with Ubuntu 13.10, Ubuntu 12.04, and Windows Server 2012, and the installs work when using the same hardware with a different motherboard so I am convinced this board was the cause.
Other Thoughts: I have been emailing technical support about this since I can no longer return this board to Newegg. So far suggestions were to disable the "intel mei" driver and to try different operating systems, but to no avail.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Easy to use and setup. The on board QCode display made it easier to debug minor issues while hooking it up.
Cons: The space for the CPU didn't match my case for the aftermarket heat sink, and according to CoolMaster HAF932 this board is an ATX, not Extended ATX board. I'm not sure who's at fault though.
Other Thoughts: Regardless, This board has been great and I love the monitoring tools it comes with.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Performs exactly as expected. Very cold when properly water cooled. I used the EK-Water Blocks Supremacy 360 HFX kit and ran a benchmark program called FurMark for a while and it maxed out at a comfortable 46°C.
Cons: Makes a constant distinguishable whining/buzzing sound that is louder than any of my fans while active. This tends to be quieter while running at a higher resolution for some reason. It's annoying since there's no moving parts (to my knowledge) but tolerable since I have music to mask it.
I've read from other responses by the manufacture that it's nothing to worry about and occurs in some of their products, so I'm not worried, just slightly annoyed that it's the only real noise coming form my tower.
Other Thoughts: Would recommend to anyone.READ FULL REVIEW
